  1. Now another fact pertains to Dow has come to light. An RTI response has raised fresh questions over the Indian Government’s position in the case as it brought to light a letter written in 2006 by Dow Chemicals CEO Andrew Liveris to the then Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Ronen Sen, claiming that the Indian government had said his company was not liable for the Bhopal gas tragedy of 1984. According to the information provided by the Indian Embassy in Washington, under Right to Information Act, Dow Chemicals CEO Andrew Liveris met the then Indian Ambassador on September 21, 2005 and sent two letters to him later - on February 21, 2006 and November 8, 2006. Liveris also met the then Finance Minister during his visit to New York on the sidelines of the Indo-US CEO Forum meeting on October 25, 2006 and sent him a letter on February 26, 2007. The Dow CEO also met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 14, 2005 in New York during a CEOs luncheon co-hosted by the Indian Ambassador and Bill Harrison, Chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase and Co-Chairman of India-US CEO Forum.

So it seems Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram too are not as clean as many people think.

  2. As a common man, there is nothing in India to appreciate or being proud of.Persons belonging to a No of political parties take up issues to suit one's convenience.India should realy become an independent country and we,as a citizen of India, will have pride in achieving tremendous work in term of development in all speres.Political affliations have no place in a developed India. The above writeup shows our political vacum and zero contibutions by the political parties.Political parties such as Congress,Communists have contributed nothing for India.Bhopal tragedy shows the failure of our system which is invariably followed by our political parties.Bhopal Tragedy is a shame on our so called political parties, which have fooled our people for a long period. The people suffering from MIC gas in bhopal will get nothing but humiliations heaped by cheats represented by congress,Communists etc.I have no word for this kind of frauds perpetuated by politicals parties-congress in particular.
